Dr. Siobhan Bleakney is proud to welcome her patients to Inner Source Health, where caring and compassion are combined with education to provide the best in naturopathic medicine care. Her philosophy of service combines an excellence in patient care and clinical results.
Dr. Bleakney was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Long Island as a youngster. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Stony Brook University before attending medical school at the University of Bridgeport, School of Naturopathic Medicine, which is the finest school of science-based natural medicine on the East Coast. Dr. Bleakney graduated top of her medical school class, winning her an academic scholarship.
In order to further her nutritional skills, Dr. Bleakney is currently pursuing a masters degree in nutrition. Dr. Bleakney has additional training in German Biological Medicine, First Line Therapy and in the areas of core synchronism, nada protocol, nutrition, homeopathy, botanical medicine and mental health counseling.
She has completed clinical rotations in functional medicine, outreach drug abuse rehabilitation, physical medicine, first line therapy, and with patients challenged with immune deficiency. She has also worked as a social worker, Intensive outpatient substance abuse counselor, youth counselor, and with the developmentally disabled using animal therapy.
Dr. Bleakney is a proud member of The New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians and belongs to The Golden Key National Honor Society and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Dr. Bleakney enjoys working with numerous adult and child chronic and acute conditions as well as creating a disease-prevention protocol. She has a special interest in nutritional work and weight loss, for which she is currently developing original and individualized protocols to use with her patients at Inner Source Health.
